Introduction
Do you love working with your hands? Have you ever been fascinated with how plants grow or wondered how to establish a well maintained, manicured lawn or landscape? Then a career in horticulture might be right for you!
Pitt Community College’s Horticulture Technology program will give students the necessary tools necessary to be successful in the Green industry, one of North Carolina’s largest industries. The Horticulture Technology program is a two-year Associate degree program that, aside from classroom instruction, will provide students the opportunity to succeed in their career goals. With instructional support, students will gain hands-on experience through various live landscape projects and working in our state of the art on-campus greenhouse complex. Students will also gain retail sales experience through our Spring and Fall Plant Sales.
