Introduction
Instrument Rating is the next logical step for pilots looking to expand the flight territory they can safely operate. This course is designed to teach pilots to operate aircraft in low-visibility environments, such as heavy cloud cover or heavy rain. The subjects taught in the course provide pilots the knowledge to rely solely on instruments to navigate the aircraft in situations where they cannot rely on visual instincts. The certification itself is supplementary to the Private Pilot or Commercial licenses and qualifies the pilot to fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). This course is designed to advance the Private Pilot student to an instrument rating status. It includes classroom work only.
