College Certificate in Flight Services

Flight Services is a one-year Ontario certificate program that prepares students to enter the airline industry with the knowledge and skills to provide exceptional passenger service. Students will engage in simulations to practice aircraft entry, exit, and emergency procedures. Graduates of this program are prepared for a career as a flight attendants.

Your Learning Experience

This one-year Ontario College Certificate will prepare students for careers in the airline industry. This program will focus on the knowledge and skills required to provide exceptional passenger service, including aircraft and passenger safety procedures, communication and customer service skills, and intercultural sensitivity practices. Students will engage in simulations to practice aircraft entry, exit, and emergency procedures.

1. Engage intercultural and interdisciplinary groups of people through oral and written communications to safely execute and document flight operations;

1. Optimize decisions regarding travel based on global geography and resources using industry communication technologies;

1. Embody professionalism through service leadership in the aviation industry;

1. Adhere to industry expectations of flight crew members to support safe and effective flight service and operations in compliance with Canadian and international aviation regulations;

1. Translate career expectations into active daily practice as a flight professional;

1. Develop environmental awareness and implement related initiatives relative to the profession;

1. Apply basic entrepreneurial strategies to identify and respond to new opportunities.

Program Residency

Students Must Complete a Minimum of 10 credits in this program at Fanshawe College to meet the Program Residency requirement and graduate from this program

Graduates of this program will be prepared for service roles in the airline industry, including flight attendant.
