This course will give you a good introduction to the built environment. Skills taught include the following: an introduction to technical drawings, such as layout and orthographic projection, and an understanding of construction methods. Properties and characteristics of materials frequently used within the built environment, national building regulations, and basic design concept development methods and application. Project management skills such as task management, client management, milestone tracking, and contingency planning. As well as visual Representation Techniques using 2 and 3-dimensional methods. Lastly, the course will address communication with team members using project plans or specifications.

Part Time Face to Face Learning:

8 sessions per module, 1hr 45min each, 4 times per week for 16 weeks

Module 1 to 8 – Coursework

Practical – assignment based Module 9

Software Training: Autocad for the Built Environment (included at no cost)
