About

A unique opportunity to approach the universe of computer graphics and gain general knowledge in its various segments such as: Animation, Concept Art, Special Effects (VFX), Games and Virtual Reality (VR). The learning happens during the development of a series of projects, that is, the student will "learn by doing", in a 100% practical and interdisciplinary way. The program was created for the student who is interested in the subject, but has little or no experience and would like to become a professional or change the career.

The course is structured in three modules. In the first are key elements such as: image capture, creation from raw material and general notions of the main software used in the industry. At this stage the professions of the areas are contextualized. In the second and third module the student chooses a specific area to develop in more depth: Animation, Games or Visual Effects. With real briefs, in collaboration with market producers, he participates in all stages of the projects until the presentation to the final customer.... [-]

Courses in Art Studies.

Joining the Rocket Sky Team is a life changing experience and 96% of our graduates are professional animators today.

WHY JOIN THE ROCKET SKY TEAM?

We’re different. Rocket Sky utilizes a ‘simulated production environment’ approach to learning, which mimics a real-world animation studio. This process develops skills at the highest levels while conditioning our students to work in the real world, all while still in school.

THE ROCKET SKY APPROACH

The Rocket Sky Learning System was born out of years of professional production experience, and years of professional education experience. We focus on classical animation principles and basic fundamentals and apply them to the 3D software. This simple approach develops the art and the artist. Repetition is the mother of skill, and by utilizing our unique, one-on-one, mentor-style approach to learning, and the focus on fundamentals rather than software, Rocket Sky students become skilled in all the facets of this allusive art form, and ultimately will be able to produce the highest quality portfolio work to showcase these skills.... Good photography can often make a film successful, even when the narration is weak. Conversely, bad photography can ruin a good story, even if well told. It is, therefore, a role that arises, in many ways, on the same level as that of the director. Photography is a very technical department which, however, requires a strong artistic component and is, therefore, suitable for those who know how to combine these two skills.

Course characteristics

This is a two-year course with compulsory attendance, five days a week, from three to four hours per day, for a total of about 500 hours a year, and consists of three types of lesson: interdisciplinary subjects, institutional subjects, and interdisciplinary labs. The course is compulsory and students are required to work during the two-year period from Monday to Friday in one or two daily shifts and on some weekends for each two-month period, starting from the theoretical study of the concepts to get to the practice on RFA sets and on external sets during educational productions....
