Knowledge of Basic Electricity & Electronics and the fundamentals of refrigeration technology are prerequisite for the Commercial Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Program. The majority of students who enroll in the Major Appliances Program and Domestic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Programs where they learn basic electricity and basic refrigeration, generally also enroll for this program. Students learn to work on central air conditioning systems, heat pumps, roof top A/C systems, walk-in and reach-in refrigerators and freezers, ice machines and other commercial refrigeration equipment.
