Introduction
Goshen County continues to lead the state of Wyoming in most areas of Ag production and students that come here are encouraged to take full advantage of this. Most students find part-time, Ag-related jobs in the community. In fact, our Farm and Ranch Management program includes an internship.
Students have a few options when it comes to choosing a degree path. The Associate of Science degree in Agri-Business and Sciences has six options: a General Agriculture option for those that are not sure in what specific area in agriculture they would like to major, a Business option, a Communications option, an Agroecology/Agronomy option, an Animal Science option, and an Equine Science option.
The AS degree is for students who plan to enroll in a four-year school after EWC. Farm and Ranch Management is an Associate of Applied Science degree. These students will take courses in ag-business, animal science, as well as plant science, to ensure they are ready to enter the workforce immediately following graduation. Possible jobs with this degree include farm or ranch management, feedlot management, sales (feed, fertilizer, seed), or machinery and equipment dealerships, just to name a few. We also offer a Beef Production Certificate. This is a one year program for students who would like to learn more about the beef industry.
