This program focuses on the general study of business, including domestic, international, and electronic, and the important ways in which business impacts our daily lives. The program will prepare individuals to apply business principles and techniques in various career settings and to gain an understanding of business situations that affect their personal and working lives. This includes the buying, selling, and producing goods and services, understanding business organizations, general management and employee motivation strategies, basic accounting principles, the economy, and marketing.

The Associate in Science in Business is a two-year program designed for students who intend to seek employment directly after completion. Associate in Science in Business‐‐Hospitality Management Option This is a suggested course sequence only. Students may, with guidance from an Academic Advisor as well as a Faculty Advisor, make changes to their specific course sequence. The student should be aware that changes may result in more than four semesters to complete their desired Associates Degree. An Associate in Science in Business--Hospitality Management Option is a general business transfer degree specifically designed to transfer to Southeastern Oklahoma State University. It may also transfer to other regional or comprehensive universities. When students transfer, they can decide to specialize in specific areas of business such as Hospitality Management in hotels, Restaurant, or Casino operations, or the Tourism Industry. Students interested in transferring to a four-year university should consult with an academic advisor from that school to ensure transferability and completion of the appropriate program electives.
