The Postgraduate Diploma in Theology (PGDipTheol) requires one year of full-time or its equivalent in part-time study and may be taken in Biblical Studies, Christian Thought and History or Pastoral Studies. Candidates are required to hold a Bachelor of Theology (BTheol) degree in the major subject of the proposed Program with satisfactory grades.

Certificate IV’ builds more deeply on Certificate III, providing more Bible knowledge and practice in applied leadership in a Christian ministry setting.

This one-year certificate is designed for high school graduates who want to take some college work in Christian studies, but who may not desire to complete an entire degree program.

The ICCS is awarded to part-time students who have successfully completed a total of 192 hours of study at Certificate level. This internal SMBC certificate is available to part-time students and does not require concurrent enrolment in an Australian College of Theology (ACT) course.

The School of Ministry is an integral part of Messenger College, and its curriculum and policies operate in full accord with the College’s program and schedules. Thus, the studies may be applied to any of the published degree programs where they apply, and all studies qualify for Federal grants and loans.

A Certificate in Church Ministry from Providence Theological Seminary introduces the student to basic theological content and various ministry-related skills such as Christian education, administration and leadership, and counselling, all within a multi-cultural Canadian context.

The Certificate comprises four (4) Units - 18 credit points, which students can complete through a variety of online study options.

The College is pleased to be able to offer this course, in Birmingham from September 2019, in partnership with BMS World Mission. The course is designed as the foundation year for a ministerial training programme. Units taught will mostly parallel those taught on the first year of the ministerial BA programme in London.

The Certificate of Higher Education in Theology, Ministry and Mission lays the building blocks of Christian theology by introducing subjects such as Theology, Church and Mission, Understanding the Bible and Discovering the Christian Tradition. It also starts to engage students in practical aspects of ministry and in some reflection on their own person and ministry.

The Graduate Certificate in Ministry is a one-semester course available on both a full time and part-time basis. Many Christians choose care-based professions that they consider to be their ministry in society.
