This course offers the concepts and points of view of epidemiology. It provides highly specialized knowledge in the field of public health epidemiology, giving importance to various methods of assessing factors associated with the distribution and etiology of diseases and health-related events in a community. Skills include approaches to identifying and evaluating sources of health information, calculating key epidemiologic metrics, epidemiologic investigation techniques, and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of different study designs. The course also provides methods to detect health-related events as early as possible through screening techniques. Public health surveillance, observation, monitoring, screening, hypothesis formulation and testing, descriptive, analytical and experimental research and forecasting are part of epidemiology.

The Public Health Policy course is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of how federal, state, and local policies shape the health care system, why health policy is important, and how to set policy. Course content is designed to advance understanding of evidence-based policies and practices to address social determinants of health and create health equity for all.

Biostatistics provides an introduction to some important topics in biostatistical concepts, measurements, and reasoning. This course provides students with knowledge of statistics and their applications in biomedical sciences. It represents the need and uses of biostatistics in public health and medicine, data measurement scales, graphical and schematic presentations of various data.

This course gives participants a pragmatic view of general management and helps them have a detailed understanding of the concept of strategy, the strategic implementation process and its impact on the functional, divisional and corporate levels of an organization. Public health management is a branch of the public health profession that involves the management of threats to public health. Quality assurance methods and strategies in health care delivery system, program planning, implementation and evaluation, training methods for community health care and human resource management are the public health.

This course generally introduces the concept of health and disease and allows you to plan and evaluate strategies to prevent disease. It covers the different approaches and methods for applying acquired knowledge to the control of diseases through prevention and treatment, resulting in the preservation of public health. This course attempts to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and basic economic arguments that are at the heart of health system financing. It provides a brief introduction to the conceptual clarity of health economics with emphasis on practical application to health financing and understanding how health resources are generated, pooled and used. It examines the main financing models of the health system, including health insurance, and their implications for the structure, planning and delivery of services. The course includes 4 modules: i) Principles of economics and health economics, ii) Health market, iii) Health services and resources, and iv) Health care financing. Under each module, there are 3 units and under each unit, 5 description themes. A student will thus have a broad understanding of health economics and its different aspects.
