Introduction
The Cloud Computing program develops skills for the occupations of cloud architect and cloud technician using Amazon Web Services (AWS), the leading cloud computing provider. The program bridges traditional on-premises data center skills of server installation, database management, and networking set-up and cabling into virtualizations of these information and computing technologies over online services. Job preparation will include industry certifications of AWS Cloud Practitioner and AWS Solutions Architect Associate mapped to course work.

Riverside Community College District Scholarship
There are over 250 scholarships available to students through the RCCD Foundation, and only one application is needed to apply. If you are an admitted student at RCC and have a student email address, you can apply for scholarships offered by the RCCD Foundation.
CGACC-RCC International Student Scholarship
International Students at Riverside City College are welcome to apply for CGACC-RCC Scholarship. This scholarship is in the form of a tuition fee reduction estimated at $1,250. The application deadline for CGACC-RCC International Student Scholarship is July 25, and the results of the students selected are typically announced by August 6.
To be eligible for this award, the applicant must be a new or continuing international student who will study full-time at one of the RCCD colleges (Riverside City College, Norco College, or Moreno Valley College) on an F-1 Student Visa in the fall semester. Transfer students can also apply. New international students who apply for the scholarship must have a completed RCC international student application, submit all required documents, and receive an RCCD I-20.

Program Outcome
Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:
- Ability to design Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions by provisioning computing instances, establishing virtual private networks, and managing databases and storage within a secure online environment.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics of cloud architecture to respond dynamically to information and computing technology workloads and optimize service costs.
- Ability to collaborate in a team designing business solutions in an industry-aligned project.
- Describe security best practices employed with AWS applications.
- Implement customer best practices security controls for Infrastructure Services, Container Services, and Abstract Services of the Shared Responsibility Model.
- Access and navigate AWS Management Console. Access the Security Services Category and retrieve database credentials and API keys.
- Create, manage, and deploy public and private Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) certificates with AWS services and internal connected resources.
- Use Event Log Analyzer to collect and analyze AWS EC2 Windows instance log in a centralized location.
- Understand the difference between AWS Regions, Availability Zones, and Edge Locations.
