This Foundation Degree aims to develop knowledge and understanding of the wide and varied social, political, and economic environments that community and public services operate within. You will have the opportunity to listen to, and network with, serving public service practitioners and members of other community and public service organizations through visits, volunteering, guest lectures, and work-based delivery.

The Foundation Programme is a 2-semesters study program on Social Sciences which allows students with less than 12 years of schooling to fulfil the prerequisites for pursuing a bachelor’s program in Italy and thus in Luiss.  The programme offers introductory courses in economics, law, socio-political studies, and, generally speaking, social sciences and critical thinking.

Offered through the language of English, students gain a deep understanding of Nova Scotia's Gaelic culture by focusing on key subject areas, from the ancient past to the present day.

An Undergraduate Foundation is a one-year (3-term) programme which offers successful students a pathway to a UK university. Students will typically study 3-4 subjects, depending on the pathway chosen or the intended progression degree, as well as English Language. One of the most important requirements for university entry is the English language level and as well as filling any academic gaps, English language is critical for success. Students, on average, may spend up to five hours per week per subject in class and be expected to allocate a similar number of hours to independent study.
