Introduction

Business Administration is designed for students seeking a career in the following business fields: general business administration, accounting, international trade, management, marketing, and banking and finance. This AS provides a solid foundation for transfer to a senior institution for higher-level study. The program offers integration of accounting, business, and liberal arts courses needed to enhance critical thinking, analytical decision-making, and communication skills required by contemporary professionals regardless of specialization.

  • Describe the external forces that affect the business world and business concepts involved with international commerce.
  • Describe the various functions of running a business such as management, marketing, accounting, finance, human resources, information technology, ownership, and production.
  • Describe workplace ethics and the benefits of workplace diversity.
  • Understand how basic financial information is used in business decision-making.
