Introduction
The program covers the development and life of Asian cultures from history, humanities, and the social sciences. It is interdisciplinary, cross-cultural, integrated, and seeks to combine knowledge and action. We encourage the studies of all parts of Asia, including East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.
Students majoring in Asian studies must complete a minimum of 11 blocks of Asian studies and related courses. These courses will include six (eight if an elementary language is included) required courses. Also, students must take at least five electives. Including Elementary Language, the total will be 13 blocks.
