Florence-Darlington Technical College
Introduction
The Florence-Darlington Technical Education Center was first established in 1963 with an initial enrollment of 250 students. Florence-Darlington Technical College now boasts an enrollment of more than 6,000 students and serves South Carolina's Pee Dee Region by providing quality education to the community workforce.
In 2007, Florence-Darlington Technical College completed construction of the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT). This facility provides unique learning opportunities for Florence-Darlington Technical College students, promotes our relationship with the local business community, and reinforces our commitment to regional economic development.
