Introduction
Overview
This is a two year course and is designed for those who are seeking to become professional qualified counsellors. The course will further develop counselling skills and interventions working with the Person-centered model and will be drawing from other Humanistic approaches and comparative theories ( Psychodynamic and CBT).
Am I ready?
Candidates must have completed a Level 2 & Level 3 Counselling Skills qualification, or be able to provide evidence of having met equivalent standard elsewhere (you must have completed in excess of 150 hours of counselling skills training). Candidates also need to have a GCSE English at grade C/4 or above or an equivalent qualification. All applicants will need to attend an informal interview and will be asked to undertake a literacy assessment. Applicants must also be able to provide satisfactory references.
