Introduction
Goals
The growing importance of communication in the current socio-economic context requires an integrated approach to business communication issues and tools. The Degree in Business Communication (1st Cycle) has as its main objective to respond to the challenges of companies and institutions that are faced daily with the need to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
In this sense, the study plan bets on a set of curricular units that seek to satisfy the profile of the communication professional, namely in terms of marketing and communication, new technologies at the service of communication and foreign languages.
The main objectives of the degree are:
- Train future professionals to exercise activity primarily at the strategic and tactical level in areas that are recognized as central to the affirmation of organizations and institutions;
- Make students aware of the importance of public opinion on the company's contributions to the country and community in which it operates, as well as to the psychosocial well-being of the community and individuals;
- Provide students with:
- in-depth knowledge of communication in/of companies, professionally qualifying them to carry out administration and management tasks suited to today's globalized and highly competitive market;
- tools that allow them to know how to strengthen the credibility of all the information they issue;
- ability to gain positive recognition and goodwill from various sectors of public opinion;
- knowing how to promote favorable information in the media;
- knowledge and mastery of stimuli for activating the motivation and performance of employees;
- know how to disclose information about the company to different stakeholders;
- knowledge of strategic and operational tools to strengthen the company's image with its various audiences;
- knowing how to contribute in an organized and systematic way to the credibility and reputation of the company;
- knowing how to promote social responsibility in the company;
- know how to read and interpret market indicators.
