Introduction
Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management
The LIBT Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management accredited by The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) has been created to develop and reward the business managers of today and the future, and to continue to bring recognition and professionalism to the management sectors. The Level 7 Program will require Learners to critically evaluate, challenge and synthesise a wide range of current management tools, techniques and models. The emphasis placed on current management concepts and models is on those that are relevant to the 21st century business environment and context and goes beyond the normal examination of Anglo American management models.
At level 7, the emphasis is also placed on the ability to adapt management concepts, tools and techniques to align with organisational culture and apply critical reflective thinking.The qualification scope covers all the primary business functions and how these are interrelated and integrated. The mandatory units provide a holistic study of core organisational issues that are relevant to strategic decision making, planning and enabling the organisation to achieve its strategic aims and objectives.
The Program has a total equivalence of 120 credits. Completing the Diploma allows access to a dissertation at one of our University partners for a related master’s degree.

Leadership for Strategic Managers
This module critically examines the role of leadership in Strategic Management with reference to basic concepts, principles and major analytical approaches that are utilised in strategic decision making. Through theoretical and empirical approaches to strategy, this module prepares managers and leaders to successfully overcome challenges in the dynamic & complex world of commerce.
Strategic Finance
This module aims to provide managers a basic overview of the accounting equation, preparing financial statements, accounting cycle, appraisal & familiarity with the content of published annual accounts, financial ratio analysis and an introduction to aspects of costing &management accounts.
Corporate Governance and Globalization
The aim of this unit is to provide a sound understanding of the concept of Corporate Governance within the organisation. The unit also offers learners the opportunity to become familiar with ongoing global best practices in Corporate Governance and gain a new perspective of the impact of good Corporate Governance practices on an organisation & its strategic direction.
Strategic Project Management
This unit aims to equip learners with the fundamental methodologies, modelling & analytical techniques for the design and implementation of projects across a wide range of sectors. The unit will help to derive an understanding of how effective Project Management contributes to organisational success.
Strategic Operations Issues
This unit aims to introduce learners to the core concepts of Operations Management. Learners will gain an understanding of the principles of Lean, Just In Time, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma & Supply Chain Management and their applications across diverse organisational contexts.
Strategic Marketing
This unit aims to provide an introduction to key marketing concepts including market orientation, customer acquisition, market offering & design, positioning, brand management, and the customer experience. Learners will gain knowledge & skills to ethically manage the process of identifying problems, analysing market-related opportunities, and developing strategies to reach the audience across different contexts.
Entrepreneurship for Strategic Managers
This unit aims to advance learners’ understanding of concepts & principles of entrepreneurship. Key areas of study include conceptualisation, innovation, strategy & operations, financing, managing, and marketing sustainable ventures that generate wealth for individuals &communities.
Strategic Management and Planning
This unit aims to offer learners an insight into Strategic Management & Planning and different tools & frameworks that aid the same. A clearly defined strategic direction is essential for any organisation to ensure seamless continuity and long-term growth.

Program delivery
Standard duration of the Level 7 Program is 8 months. The student is required to submit 8 assignments to complete Level 7.
