Introduction

The Culinary Arts Program at Massasoit prepares students to enter the diverse and exciting field of foodservice. It is designed to provide students with various entry-level culinary skills, enabling them to find a career in any area of the food service field. Students learn stamina, dexterity, food preparation, design and presentation, food safety, and proper use of chef’s tools.

The Culinary Arts curriculum includes a well-rounded foundation of both pastry and savoury food techniques. It requires a fieldwork experience of a minimum of 240 hours of paid or non-paid experience in a food-service establishment. Massasoit students develop professionalism and confidence that enable them to understand and maintain the highest standards needed for working in the foodservice industry.
