Pasadena City College

Introduction

Pasadena City College provides the San Gabriel Valley with high quality, innovative, and dynamic learning environment that inspires student success. Each semester we offer academic programs that encompass degrees, transfer programs, and certificates to 29,200+ students.

We are new students and returning students. We are local, international, and online. We span many cultures — LGBT, multicultural, veterans, and everyone else in between.

Created in response to the community’s need for higher education facilities, Pasadena Junior College was first established on the Pasadena High School campus. It was one of the earliest junior colleges in the Southwest United States. Its faculty, graduates, and former students, now numbering in the hundreds of thousands, have contributed greatly to business, education, industry, the professions, and other American society aspects.

Pasadena City College is an equity-minded learning community dedicated to enriching students’ academic, personal, and professional lives through an array of degree and certificate programs, campus engagement, and customized student support.

Pasadena City College is well-recognized as being one of the top community colleges in California. Whether you’re looking for a fast-track career, want to transfer to a four-year university, earn credits while in high school, or enhance your skills in the workforce, we allow you to reach your educational goals at a price that works for you.
