Introduction

The Skills Competency Award in Virtualization System Administration provides students with a broad background in the application of computers to the emerging needs of business and industry. CIS courses prepare students for entry-level positions in computer programming, systems analysis, computer operations and network management, information systems management, and sales and technical information positions.

The Skills Competency Award in Virtualization System Administration program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to manage virtualization systems in a variety of settings. The program covers a wide range of topics related to virtualization, including system administration, network management, and security.

The program includes courses in operating systems, virtualization technologies, network protocols, and security principles. Students will learn how to install, configure, and manage virtualization systems, as well as how to troubleshoot and maintain these systems. The program also covers topics related to network management, such as network design, routing, and switching.

In addition to classroom instruction, the program may include hands-on experience with virtualization software and hardware, as well as opportunities to work on real-world projects.
