Introduction
Few words in business and other organizations are used as often and as incorrectly as ‘innovation.’ Yet, despite this lack of understanding of what innovation is and how to develop innovative organizations, it remains one of the most important functions of any organization. In this course, we focus on leading for innovation, exploring the processes and practices that leaders can use to boost innovation in their organizations.
Suppose you are a senior manager in public and private sector with a minimum of Matric or equivalent, plus an NQF level 8 qualification with at least 10 years’ managerial experience. Alternatively, a portfolio of prior learning evidence will be considered based on Unisa’s policy requirements for short learning programs.
Upon completing the program, candidates should overcome leadership challenges by developing and directing innovative organizational strategies in a complex, shifting environment. Successful candidates will also be able to leverage internal and external relationships for their benefit.
Upon successfully completing the program, students will receive the Leading for Innovation Certificate from the Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL), an internationally respected educational institution.
