Introduction
One of the most important natural resources, water, needs to be monitored, tested, and recycled. Vermilion’s Water Quality Science and Water Operations program focuses on water use in wastewater, water treatment, facility water systems, and water usage. You will learn lab testing, equipment maintenance, and additional skills required for a Minnesota State Class D Water and Wastewater Operator license.
Upon graduation, you will have various careers that you will be eligible for through both water sciences and your class D water/wastewater operator’s license. Some potential fields include:

Public Health Systems
Environmental Engineering Technicians
