The wealth of the Solomon Islands' natural resources demands comprehensive research and innovation to manage it wisely and sustainably. The Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (FAFF) are committed to training future professionals to develop the needed capacity to fulfil such needs through agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and environmental studies.
At the Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, we are committed to developing and educating students who will make a difference in the important sectors of the national economy and contribute to improving people’s livelihood. Research directed at increasing crop yield, pest and disease control, livestock and fisheries production, etc., at a sustainable level is the priority. Simultaneously, biodiversity conservation, rehabilitation of degraded areas, and reforestation remain the focus of students’ training.
