Sorbonne University - Summer School

Introduction

The Summer University offers 12 cycles - 10 in French and 2 in English - taught by academics from the Sorbonne Université cluster.

There are 15 hours of lectures per week, 3 hours a day, Monday to Friday, in the morning or afternoon, depending on the course. This rhythm allows participants to enjoy classes, and also visit Paris afterwards. You can register for more than one course.

Three cycles, in a different format, enrich the program: cycle 4 "At the heart of French life: cuisine (s) and gastronomy, a unique heritage ", cycle 7 and 7 bis"History of art and Urbanism - Paris, capital of a factory: 5 000 years of history ".

For those students wishing to take part, we are also providing a programme of cultural and sports activities in addition to the curriculum.

A certificate indicating the number of hours and courses followed by the student will be handed to participants at the end of their stay.

6 levels are available: level A1.1, A1.2, A2, B1, B2 and C1 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

The hours of courses for these levels consist of general French courses only, during which students work on several skills: oral comprehension, written comprehension, oral expression and written expression.

The chosen themes and media further enable participants to become familiar with different aspects of French cultural life, including lifestyles, the French education and University system, and the history of the Latin Quarter.... [-]
