Italian Language Courses in Sicily

Online Campus Part time 1 - 70 weeks Open Enrollment Italy Syracuse + 1 more

Our Italian Language courses are focused on giving the students the appropriate communication skills by learning Italian in the most natural way, combining the communicative tools with a comprehensive study of Italian grammar and syntax. [+]

Our teaching is based on the communicative approach. Through the development of the four skills – speaking, writing, reading and listening – the course provides students with the tools necessary to use the language and interact in various situations in everyday life. This communicative based approach is complemented by the in-depth study of Italian grammar structures, important for the correct use of the Italian language. The materials used are carefully selected, based on the interests of the students and in line with the guidelines laid out by the Common European Framework.

The Syracuse Academy is a center for CILS (Certificazione di Italiano come lingua Straniera – Certification of Italian as a foreign language) and DITALS (Certificazione di Competenza in Didattica dell’Italiano a Stranieri – Certification of Italian language teaching to foreigners) of the University of Siena . Our long-term students who wish to follow specific examination courses may prepare and sit CILS examinations at levels from A1 to C2 of the CEFR. Students who have a C1 certified level of Italian can prepare and take the DITALS examination which includes a 24 hour specific teacher training course and 60 hours of classroom teaching practice....
